This week during Book Blogger Appreciation Week we were given the opportunity to interview a fellow book blogger. I personally think that the best part of blogging is the people that you meet! What I think is also pretty awesome is when I come across a teen who blogs about what they love to read.
I feel super fortunate to introduce you to Kalia Sage from Reading the Best of the Best! So here we go…everyone welcome Kalia and give many thanks for taking the time to answer a few questions!
1) Share a little about your blog and yourself.
Hi! I’m Kailia and I’m a 16 year old book blogger at Reading the Best of the Best. I’ve been reading since I can remember and one day I decided to share the books I read with the rest of the world. I read and review mainly YA books in all sorts of genres!
2) What are your favorite genres to read and are those your favorite to review?
I tend to review the books I read. I like Historical Fiction, Dystopian, Chick Lit, Contemporary, Paranormal Romance, Mysteries, Fantasy and High Fantasy. I like it when it’s in the YA age area though I read middle grade books on occasion!
3) Do you have a blogger that you ever refer to as a mentor?
I don’t have one really but there are bloggers who I e-mail and tweet when I have questions. Eleni of La Femme Readers (http://lafemmereaders.blogspot.com/) is one!
4) I see you participate in a few weekly memes. Which one(s) do you find to be your “must do’s”?
In My Mailbox, Top Ten Tuesday, and Waiting on Wednesdays. I’m going to *hopefully* have my own meme on the blog soon!
5) Lastly, what advice would you give to someone that is interested in blogging about books?
Blog about what you know and don’t try to be someone else. Though it’s hard, try to not compare your blog to someone else’s! AND HAVE FUN!
Thanks so much Kalia! It was great getting to know you a little better! I hope that everyone will take some time to stop by Reading the Best of the Best!
Here is a little about Book Blogger Appreciation Week…
Book Blogger Appreciation was started by Amy Riley of My Friend Amy in an effort to recognize the hard work and contribution of book bloggers to the promotion and preservation of a literate culture actively engaged in discussing books, authors, and a lifestyle of reading.
Feel free to hop on over and check out all the bloggers linked up at BBAW and join in on the fun!
