Happy Sunday! Welcome for the Sunday Stew, a weekly meme graciously hosted by Shannon over at Books Devoured. It’s a great way to take a look at what other blogs have going on around them and I find it usually introduces me to some great people and happenings around the web! Feel free to pop on over to Shannon’s and join in the Stew!
Before I get to the Sunday Stew post, I want to take a moment and reflect on the importance of this day. I remember where I was 10 years ago. I was getting my pre-schooler off to his first day and then was heading to my first day of teaching a class full of 3 year-olds. I didn’t know what happened other than the chatter of those around me. When I was able to watch the footage, I could hardly process what happened. I remember knowing one thing for certain, our lives would never be the same. I am grateful for those who sacrifice so much for our day-to-day liberties. So many lives were lost on 9/11/01 and so many since. I still believe that America is a wonderful country and when we stand together we can do great things.

Around the Web:
Book Blogger Appreciation Week will be celebrated September 12-16. Here is a little description taken from the BBAW website:
Book Blogger Appreciation was started by Amy Riley of My Friend Amy in an effort to recognize the hard work and contribution of book bloggers to the promotion and preservation of a literate culture actively engaged in discussing books, authors, and a lifestyle of reading.
The first Book Blogger Appreciation was observed in the fall of 2008 and occurs every September. The week spotlights and celebrates the work of active book bloggers through guest posts, awards, giveaways, and community activities. Book Bloggers are encouraged to register their participation for inclusion in a database of book bloggers.
So much going on, I don’t even know what to write . Other than keeping track of our kids and all of their school work and extra activities we are focusing a lot of time on getting our home painted, decorated and organized. I have had a hard time making up my mind on many decorating aspects and I “think” I may be ready to move forward…maybe. Other than all this craziness, I am just hoping to get my posts back on schedule and remember to feed my kids and dog! Hopefully next week I will have a more entertaining post, but for now,I will spend my week playing catch up!
Please take some time to reflect on all our country has to offer. Pray for those who serve daily to protect our freedoms that we enjoy daily. Be certain to remember all the souls that were lost on this day 10 years ago and pray for the lives that will forever be changed because of it.
Have a great week!
