TGIF {10}

TGIF is a weekly meme hosted by Ginger over at Greads and is a little spot where we can post a recap of the week and where she also gives us a question to ponder…be sure to go on over and check out all the other blogs that link up.  It is a great way to get to know others in the blogging community.

This Friday’s Question:

Show & Tell: Where do you grab a book and get lost in it? Show us your favorite spot you like to read at.
Happy Friday!! Where do I like to go when I get a chance to get lost in a book?  Well, several places.  I have a husband, three kids, and a dog who has claimed me, ME, as his human, so I am hardly ever alone.  My favorite place to read is in my chair by the window.
My second favorite place to read is my bedroom.  But, I hardly ever get time away in my bedroom.
I spent a lot of time reading on my back porch this summer in while the kiddos were finding relief from the sweltering heat in the pool.  I would snap a picture of the patio, but it is in a bit of shambles as we are doing some backyard maintenance.  :)
Given my job as a wife and mom, I often have to put my book down or read into the wee hours of the night.  I have been found on the front porch reading, in my daughters room reading, sometimes I will escape to my sons’ room and stowaway on the bottom bunk and sneak in a chapter or two (they usually don’t find me for a while when I am there).  I often find myself sitting at the kitchen table to fit a book in, not the most comfortable, but it works.
My entire house is under a bit of a remodel/redecorate phase, but when it is all done the loft area will be my nook.  The chair will be by the beautifully dressed window with full view of the backyard and my ‘library’.   I am really looking forward to getting this house done!
Great question for the week!  I look forward to seeing all the other great spots where fellow readers go!  I wish you all a happy weekend!

    Like you, I read in almost every location of my house. I do have a huge comfortable chair in my living room where I do most of my reading, but also read in the kitchen, office, my bedroom, the spare bedroom and if I’m being honest here, in the bathroom too. I have a wonderful deck that I would love to sit out on and read, but every time I do the neighbors’ dogs (from 3 different yards) try to out bark each other. Not so serene for outdoor peaceful reading.

    Your loft reading nook sounds amazing. I hope that it comes together for you soon!

    As someone who has done a ton of remodeling, I completely understand how much it can disrupt your life – I hope you get your reading nook completed soon! Sounds like it will be a perfect spot to read.

    I like how you sneak in a bit of a read here and there in whatever spot you can find. I tend to do the same thing, although it’s work and my friends that take up most of my time :)
