Classics! Love or Hate?

May 28th, 2013 Everyday, everything

Today’s topic in the Armchair is Classical Literature.  Do you love them?  Hate them?  Think they are overrated?  Wish we had more like them?  There are some that make me snooze.  There are some I absolutely love.

Here are a few of my favorites:

THE GREAT GATSBY by F. Scott Fitzgerald

THE SCARLET LETTER by Nathaniel Hawthorne

GREAT EXPECTATIONS by Charles Dickens

and one of my most favorites….

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD by Harper Lee

There are so many wonderful books.  These are just a few of my favorites.  I love reading off of the classics lists.  Who can forget the worlds they opened up as the pages were flipped.  Imagine the impact they had when they were new releases!

Do yourself a favor, pick up a classic, read it and then share it with someone younger than you!

Cheers!

You have some great books listed here! I love the Great Gastby and am really interested in seeing the new movie out just to see the new take on the book. It looks amazing!

I am so afraid to see the new Gatsby. I really don’t want it ruined. Sometimes new age Hollywood gets a little to crazy with the classics.
