In a way. I lot of Christians thought that Harry Potter was the devil when it came out. My Mom being one of them and finally she let me read them and now understands the fantasy books are just that fantasy.

Nope…and wouldn’t care if I did. My uncle is a Baptist preacher, and he doesn’t allow my aunt to watch movies like Harry Potter and LOTR series, but I could care less what they think. I know the magic is not real, and anyone who cannot, is just plain dumb.

I don’t think I’ve ever been shamed for reading a book on the list but I was definitely shamed for watching the Harry Potter movies.

No I haven’t. In fact if it is on the list I find I am more likely to at least check it out.

I’ve never been shamed for anything I’ve ever read. If I had the “shamer” would have gotten an ear full.

I’ve never been shamed for reading anything, but even if someone attempted to shame me, I wouldn’t listen–free to read whatever I want :)

No, I cannot say I have been shamed. And even if I was shamed, it would not affect me purchasing or reading the book.
